Mr Aqua packing job

...was outstanding! Not sure if these tanks are packed by Mr Aqua or Marine Depot but regardless this should offer to put minds at ease for anyone considering ordering one. Cross country on the back of a UPS Ground truck, I had my worries... but probably could've fallen off the truck and lived to tell the tale. More than filled a lawn trash bag with the packing peanuts (thankfully, the non-static variety) and also wrapped w/ 2-3 layer of bubble wrap. For what it's worth I'm very pleased with the tank itself as well. Thanks for the 'Deal of the Day' ;)

Thank you so much for jumping on RC and sharing your shopping experience with us. We passed along your feedback to Mr. Aqua as well (they were stoked!).

We do re-pack all of the Mr. Aqua tanks we ship to help ensure safe transport. We sometimes receive complaints from customers about our "overuse" of packing peanuts. While they may make a mess of your living room, the packing peanuts we use are made from 100% recycled material and are also biodegradable.

I received my Mr. Aqua 18x18x18 cube last week and it was equally as well packed! Even UPS couldn't destroy it!

I have a pair of clowns and a peppermint shrimp that have been calling my 20g quarantine tank home since my move. (Had an 84gal and my last place but couldn't bring it with me.) Right now I'm more worried about getting an Mr. Aqua stand that actually isn't defective. I've got two kits sitting in my basement and can't assemble one complete stand due to all the defective parts. :(

Did the stands come from us? Are you in contact with our customer support department regarding this matter? We definitely want to get you a working stand if you bought it from us.

I assume our support staff takes detailed notes on why equipment is returned but I'd be happy to collect a description of what the problems are and pass them along to Mr. Aqua directly so they are aware of the issues with their stands.

Thanks! I have no doubts that Marine Depot will make it right. I just found the problems with the second stand last night and haven't had a chance to call from work today.

Argh, I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 25G Mr Aqua but its getting close to black friday so I thought I'd wait to see if I can get a deal....looks like I missed my deal! Out of curiosity, how much was it on sale for? Feel free to PM me if you're not comfortable posting.

Also, has anyone seen the standard Mr Aqua compared to the low iron version? Is the low iron much clearer? I am leaning towards getting that one.

Ok +1 for the packaging. Mine was in spray foam. Also, love my low-e 18 cube. The glass is amazingly clear. I'm glad I paid extra for low-e. I'm also waiting for a low-e 24 cube or a 18x18x36 to be offered.

The products we'll have for sale on Black Friday haven't yet been determined, but we passed along a link to your post to our purchasing team so they can consider offering a discount on Mr. Aqua tanks. You might also want to bookmark this page, MarineDepot.com/BlackFriday, because that's where we'll post the deals once they go live. Typically we'll send a Black Friday teaser email to newsletter subscribers so loyal shoppers have the first opportunity to score discounted goodies. Here's the link to sign up, if you're interested.

Not sure when the 25-gallon was last on sale. We went back and reviewed sales going back a couple of months but don't see anything. We've had other discounts during that time on other size Mr. Aqua tanks (including one right now), plus blanket discounts during Labor Day. We do a lot of promotions though so in case we've missed any, our sincere apologies.

The low-iron version is noticeably clearer, although it's harder to tell from the photos on our website. We might have some better photos of the low-iron version from our booth at Reef-A-Palooza this weekend. Check out our Facebook later this week; we'll try to get the shots up ASAP.

Wow, my apologies from not checking up on this thread lately! I purchased my 25g Aqua cube on 10/3/2011 and I'm nearly certain it was the Deal of the Day, though I could be mistaken :) PM sent to Ferguson.

Tank is still boxed up, only because I'm slowly buying the rest of the system. Sometimes my patience amazes me.

I've orderd the 465LI (low iron) tank but can't find the MAS-465 matching stand. How do I got about ordering the stand? Thanks. Scott

Hi, Scott! Thank you very much for your inquiry.

We did not replenish our inventory of stands because we are working on bringing in some higher quality versions in January 2012. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope this change will benefit you and other hobbyists in the long run.

Feel free to contact us directly for an update next month or just leave us a comment here if you don't notice any new stands posted on our website.

Thanks again for shopping with us and have safe and happy New Year!

Thanks for the prompt response. On the 465LI 18"x18"x18" tank, what are the exact _outer_ dimensions of the tank? Is the inner dim 18x18 or is the outer dim 18x18? Thanks.

Hi, plankton. Thank you very much for your question. The 18" x 18" x 18" dimensions were determined by measuring the outside edges of the aquarium.

Thanks. I too received my tank and as previously stated was very well packaged. Turns out the tank measures 18 1/8" x 18 1/8" and luckily I added an extra 1/2" to my tank stand so should look OK.

Beutiful cube tank. Will be setting it up in the coming weeks.
