Picked up a Mated Pair Banded Coral Shrimp, Gold today.

very nice! I hear the gold ones are actually reef safe for some reason. Is this true? Very cool!

Gold ones? Where did you pick these up?

When I 1st saw a pair (actually 2 pairs at the LFS) I really wanted them!!! but then again they were small and if I added them to my tank, I would think my cleaner which is a little bigger would kill them both.

They look awsome, nice to have paired up shirmps... after all everything looks better in pairs... or schools of them. lol

I've never had any problems with the regular CBS and corals... CBS and other type of shrimp is another story though... bad mix...

Now cleaner shrimp on the other hand... the biggest PITA with corals ....

Agreed! I am planning to get rid of mine as soon as I can find it a home. Any takers? Its a nice size too!

Very nice people at Fishes of Eden....had a tour of the warehouse. Jack was telling me what there plans are going to be. With the new coral tanks and so on.....(hip, skip, and a jump) from my house

Jacks a great guy, he knows a lot of stuff and I follow most of what he tells me. Thanks to him I have crazy amounts of coralline algae growing all over my rocks! There is a little bit growning on the back glass, no biggie... yet. The back room where they have the high end freshwater breeding is just 2 much for me. This pricey discus blow me away.

The goldies are great... but if one dies, you'll never find a mate for the other one. I had a pair for about a year, the male died, and couldn't get the female paired up to save my life... she kept killing the male.
