MRC Calcium Reactor Mod help

I've been reading how the normal flow of the MRC Calcium Reactor will eventually compact the media, turning it into mush and basically reducing the effectiveness of the reactor. I was wondering if anyone has tried to switch the pump inlet/outlets and make it into a reverse flow reactor. Any ideas? Pros/cons and potential problems? I was looking at the Geo Reactor the flow patter is pretty much the same. Any help?

you can add a spraybar option to your reactor. Check out Andy's website. I have never heard of the reactor doing that either. i thought they were reverse flow reactors!?
