MRC Nilsen Reactors FS

I have 2 different MRC Nilsen Reactors for sale. I've lost my patience with Kalk stirrers and pumps.

1--is a MAG2 powered model. It's 19" tall, 8" footprint. It needs a new MAG2 pump (I think they are around $35 from Premium Aquatics), which screws right on. It's about 3-4 months old.

2--Magnetic Stir Model. 15" tall with a 6" footprint. Side grooves can catch the stir bar. They look a little rough from the factory, in my opinion. I'm sure there is way to remedy this, but I simply don't have the time to spend.

I'm looking to get $150 a piece or $275 for both.

I'm located near downtown Chicago.

Interested, but I checked the MRC website and don't see any Nilsen reactors with the dimensions that you mentioned above. Any model # for these? I am curious as to the recommended tank size for each of these reactors. Also... Are you saying that the first reactor listed utilizes a powerhead to mix the Kalk instead of the traditional magnetic stir bar??

Weird...they both came from Andy at MRC, so I'm not sure what the story is there.

I have one, the smaller one in the gallery (with the motor and AC power supply inside the chamber) is the magnetic stir bar model. The larger one, missing the pump is the MAG2 driven model. It's missing the pump because I'm going back to 2 part for a while.

Oh...and as for size...I've was using them on a 75 gallon tank and it was more than sufficient...

I have a formula here that will calculate the capabilities of each of these reactors.... now all I need from you is the exact diameter of the reactor tubes only, and the height of the reactor tubes only. Thanks!

The MAG2 model is gone...sold today...

The measurements for the magnetic stirrer are as follows:

The height from the bottom or the lid, the the top of the base is:

11.5"

Outside Diameter:

6"

Total height, including motor housing and lid:

15.5"
