Mrs Wages Group buy

I need to replenish my supply of Pickling lime and wanted to do a group buy so other people can get in on some cheep shipping.

I will be ordering a box of 12 of which i wil be buying 3, so there are 9 availible. price is $4.75 per can.

I am in so san jose and you can pick up at my house or i can meet in fremont by mermaid aquarium in the early afternoon weekdays. Or i can bring tot he frag swap for people who want in on this in the north bay.

You might want to check your local walmart. My wife picked up 20 cans on clearance at $0.50 ea.

I bought mine while I was at the Walmart in the Sacramento area. Don't any of the Walmarts in the East Bay carry them?

I'm pretty sure you can get it on the west coast. Maybe not the Mrs. Wages brand, but in the Mexican marketplace, it is called "cal".

NOTE: Walmart in Mountain View sells "Ball Pickling Lime", but it's seasonal. And don't even bother trying to explain it to the employees. IF it's in stock, then it will be in the section that contains the mason jars and other "jam making" items. (It used to be on the "right side" of the store as you walk in). Again, it's seasonal, but you can find it. It's like less than $2 per container.

And like Darci said, if you go to grocery stores that sell Mexican groceries, you can often find "Cal" which is used to make tortillas, and is the same stuff as "pickling lime" or "kalkwasser".
