Hello,

i have a big aptasia problem and was going to give this a shot. I have used joes juice and they just come back and peppermint shrimp won't work because of the trigger fish. Was just wondering what ratio to mix. I plan on using a syringe to inject them. How many parts pickling lime to water ratio would be good?

Thank you

Just mix enough water into about 2-3 tablespoon to make it paste consistency. You don't really need to inject it.The stuff will come out of the syringe like frosting a cake.Just cover the aiptasia with it(it will melt) then wait about 5 full minutes then use a turkey baster to blast it off the rock after.Just be carefull you don't get any on corals.

make sure you inject them good, or they'll come back eventually.

some people really like this new product aiptasia-X

Thanks everyone. Should i worry about this affecting my ph or any other water parameters? I have a 240 gallon tank and it is basically infested with aptasiai. I have used joes juice with no luck and i have just been putting it off. Should i just do maybe half or so and wait a week and do another half?

Thank you

How much rock do you have? If it's not much, i find the best solution is to bring a rock to the surface, spot an aiptasia, pull rock out and burn the aip with a lighter or benzo-matic torch....

I use Mrs. Wages paste for the ones on the bottom rocks, and have had several survive. Not one has survived a torch!

I've used Joe's Juice, Kalk paste, and Lime Juice (didn't have any lemon juice at the time) -- Besides peppermint shrimp, lime juice has worked the best for me :)

I do like the torch idea though...
