MS lost power

I just went up to MS and it looks like they are going to have massive losses. We need to remember to help when all the lfs get back to speed. I also heard that belts had some losses also.

Yes, Beldt's had some losses as well, from what I heard from Marty's wife here. Apparently, they have power again though.

At noon I helped them pull about 100 fish and who knows how many inverts out. All there corals were looking pretty bad also.

Probably same as other store including mine. Generators usually only run pumps at best and unless you immediatly get a huge generator to run the whole store and or a/c, tanks get hot fast . Mine got up to 95.4 within 1 hr of power being off. We used over 30 bags of ice to cool them down. Then got a generator big enought to run the whole store. Plus it was extremely hot yesterday so without a/c or a box truck full of ice Id say major losses will definately occur ! This has definately been a learning exsperience and a nightmare at the same time .

That sucks. So which stores don't have power now? Or are they all back on-line?

I think CPE has power. My girlfriend works at a day spa by the Galleria and they never lost power. She said it looked like everything had power.

Beldt's has power, although I was told they lost something like a couple thousand dollars (their cost, not ours) worth of fish.

Still no power at the store or my house. But I do have a generator at both places.

So far only a few losses at home and I took some stuff out of the tanks at the store yesterday,but we just got power back at the store. So hopefully it stays on ! Still no power at the house,but atleast the temp. is cooler. Big thanks to Dave "lostmarbles"
for all the electrical help with the generator !
