MTC minical with pH controller

Is anyone running an MTC minical with a pH controller for the CO2 solenoid? I'm wondering what people have done for the probe with these. There is no provision in the cylinder lids to accept a probe so I've read that using a cup works "“ I think I read this first on melev's page. I'm looking for what others have done for this. I have a cup of sorts but I'm not crazy about just leaving the effluent to drip from a hole in the cup and for now the cup is wire-tied to the bracket "“ it's just not as clean as I'd like. Anyone else run into this and try anything different?
Thanks!

I don't have a minical but was in the same situation, here is my solution, plumb it into the recirc line. There are many ways to do this, this was just the easy one.

I don't do drip cups any more, it works but isn't always accurate.

Interesting, thaks for the suggestion. where did you find the bung for the probe? It looks like a john guest fitting but larger than I've seen at the local HD plumbing dept...

also, mine is dual chamber so I guess I'd want it inline either between the two or on the exit - minical setup, pump handles the recirculation and feed so it would mix with tank water there and throw things off. also, the lines are all 1/4" ID (like RO/Di line) - not sure how I could plumb it to accept the probe - interesting though - I think I will try something.....

It's just a John Guest I got at one of the box stores and was simple to connect. I took out the metal insert but I don't think that is needed, the o-rigs seals it perfectly. Mine also draws in water through the venturi and is not an issue with the volume of recirc vs. the intke of the reactor, though mine is fed from the return, it won't make a bit of difference. A tee with the JG fitting is about as simple as it gets, and effective. IIRC it is a 1/2" MIPx3/8 tubing size, but it has been so long since I did it I am not sure of the 3/8 part.

I have something like that that came with my minical...though I don't use it right now...it attaches at the pump. This measures the pH in the main cylinder where you want to control the drop just enough to break down the media...putting it on the exit side after second chamber would do no good, though you could put it between the first & second side.

Hans, do you mean something like the cup came with it and you don't use that? or you don't use the pH controller anymore?
If I understand you right, it sounds like you still use a probe and controller and set up something similar to sirreal. Any chance you could take a picture of how yours is plumbed?
Thanks
