OK.
So we received word yesterday regarding the swap location. Zef and I checked in to the Nashville Fairgrounds (not a good deal afterall) and several other locations. we were not 100% happy with aspects of them and fortunately an old connection came thru for me.
The 2011 MTRC Frag swap will be held at:
The Rural Hill Church of Christ at 564 Bell Road in Antioch.
I was a member here for many years when I first moved to Nashville and pulled a few old strings to make this one happen. 2 years ago they opened a Brand new fellowship room that is almost identical to what we had at the previous location. as of today, it is undecided if they will cater the event as a fundraiser or if we will. those details will be available in the coming months.
we will however be paying for the room so we will need to charge an admission to recoup those costs. This is the First time they have rented it out and provided we take good care, we can use it for years to come if it works out.

I know this will get the EXCITEMENT buzzing around here. I am STOKED! A few things of note:
1. Who was that traveling drygoods guy we had last year? I need to get ahold of him.
2. It Looks like we will have 2 meetings in November. One will be in the North at Justin's (undercontrolj) house. He will provide more details on that in the next few days. The second will be in the South at Mel's place. as with the first, More details will be announced on that one in the next day or so.
3. at the meetings, I need everyone attending to provide as much input on the swap organization as we can. IE what we need, what we can do, etc... we will then compile this information and get it worked out.
4. as we get things that need to be done, I will ask for volunteers to head up a specific item. please let me know your commitment and handle it.
5. The Guest Speaker has not been 100% finalized as of yet. Andy is working on that.
6. we hope to have a revamp of the site reflecting these announcements shortly.
