Multi-Color has big lips (Pic Included)?!?!?!?

My multi-color Angel which is in Quarinteen has big lips and looks like his gills are a little more pinkish/orange then they should be. Whats going on? He eats well and is very active. Water Parameters are good.

(Sorry that its not clear - He is a quick swimmer)

I think it’s a bacterial infection the poor guy can’t even close his mouth. I am going to do a water change and the LFS recommended an anti-bacterial medication but the problem is that the fish is in hypo right now and I don’t know how the medication will effect it?

Can anybody provide some help?

I would try the antibiotic as I agree it could be a bacterial infection, although I am unsure if the hyposalinity will help or hurt.

Ya I figured that. Thank you! But, which medication would work and I really dont want to have an ill effect with the hypo in the tank?

Furan-2 is one of my favorites. If that is not available, Furanace or Maracyn-2 (Minocycline).
