are multi-colored candy canes common?
im not finding any info on multi-colored ones.
about 6 weeks ago when picking my LR out
of the tub from LFS I found 2 stalks of candy cane
looked deadish, but I threw it in with the LR and
considered it a hitchhiker/first coral.
Well they are growing like crazy now...
one stalk has 7 heads--4 red; 3 white
the other stalk has 5 heads---3 green; 1 white; 1 orange
all with green centers of course.
unique or freakish?
workin on pics but flash is blending colors and no flash
everything is blue...

Are you sure they are candies? I have never seen multi colored ones like that nor have I seen red ones or orange ones.

blob in my pics, the only discernable colors r the wht and pink/red ones

They may end up looking like these ones that I've got...

The "oragne" ones are bleached and nearly dead, can't really see them very well...but given good water quality and slowly working them into the light you've got a good chance of them coming around. The colony in my pic started from a single head that was do devoid of flesh all I could see was some green and I thought it was a blaso merletti...ang piced it up for $1.
