multicolor gigantea

Hey Gary whats up?

any update on the Stichodactyla gigantea?

Did you see this? http://www.**************/cotm/jun07/

I am sure you know Rod, he has been in the hobby along time...

I did not know you had moved your tank, that is why it looks so different to me...

Dave

Edit: weird it blocked out the website: anyway it was an article on Rods two Stichodactyla gigantea.

Dave- I moved a little over a year ago. As of this moment my gigantea anemone is doing fine :)
I've heard of Rod and read many of his posts. Please PM me the link you tried to post. Thanks.

cook- If you're asking about the flow in my aquarium, it's massive and alternating.
To try and describe it, even though the tentacle tips on a healthy S. gigantea usually vibrate, you can't see them wiggling because all of the tentacles are constantly blowing in the water currents along their whole length. The oral disc also lifts up occasionally.

Simply awesome. Awesome photos, awesome anemone, and an awesome clown. Well done Gary.

Dave, the reason that that site is blocked out, is because the founder(s) of that site were banned from RC. There has been "bad blood" ever since. Its a shame that everyone cant play nicely together. I am not pointing fingers, because both parties are both wrong and right .

thanks for the nice comments, Rod.
"Bad blood" between websites is an unfortunate reality. Whether or not we can understand it, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to retain direct contact with other advanced anemone keepers via (personal) email.
You have a PM.

4:15 PM local time today my pair of percula had their first spawn

Wow very nice. Congratulations! Are you going to attempt to raise these fry or let the first couple of batches go? Nice quality pictures too.

I probably won't get into raising Clownfish (again) anytime soon.
From the looks of it today, my Emperor Angelfish is likely to eat all the eggs before they get a chance to hatch. There were some nasty battles between the percs and the Angel this evening.

Gary i would just like to say that i really look up to you in this hobby and you have the nicest anemone i have ever seen. And thats awesome your clowns are spawning.

I'm jealous...lol

Anemone and clowns are looking wonderful, Gary. Congratulations and keep up the good work (and keep the pictures coming :))
