I had a common pair of Percs (TB) for around 6 years and recently had to change tanks due to moving homes. I have checked all parameters which are fine and since the move the female would heavily pant in the corner and after a week died. There were no physical signs on the fish I just assumed it may have been when she was transported. The male seemed fine so I added a smaller male in so they could make a new pair. I suddenly lost the new female today again no physical signs and now my smaller one is panting. I'm assuming this is some sort of parasite which is hosting clown to clown as the rest of my stock is fine and there are more sensitive stock than clowns in there. Has anyone got any suggestions for what it could be? Should I treat with malachite by dipping the remaining clown to be safe ?
