multiple clowns in a large tank??

I have a pair of False Percs (wild caught). They are still rather small. I also have a RBTA that I'd like them to host in, yet they want nothing to do with it. Been a good 3 months. The clowns host no where either. They cuddle up on the bottom front of my tank at night in the sand. swim freely during the day.

So was considering trying some other clowns...to get to host in the anemone. Planning to keep the 2 I have if possible w/o to much tension. I could easily net them to my frag tank if needed to.

So what other clowns could i try in here with the 2 false percs.

With that size tank, no prob. BUT...the new ones my not host either. You need to find ones that are already hosting, buy them and what ever they are hosting in. Its funny my clown has never host any of the anemones in my tank. after a year of nothing, he finally started hosting in a big fuzzy mushroom..lol

...... "with that size tank, no prob"......... I would not even consider that a true statement by any means. You could get lucky and not have a problems but the general rule of thumb is do not keep more then two clowns in a tank. If you have one nem and you put 4 clowns in there, if the new clowns host it the percs may get jealous and try to fight for the nem. The end result is most likely two less clowns. While I may not have a ton of experience, and people have had some short term success with more then two clowns in a tank, but it is far more likely they will fight. While 250 gallons seems like a lot of water it is not near as much when you put multiple competive fish inside the tank. If you decided you did want to attempt the multiple sets of clowns your best bet would be to have multiple homes for them to choose from. Having multiple homes for the clowns would decrease the tension in the tank but its still not a guarentee.

P.s. clowns do not host, they associate, anemones host the clown
