Multiple Copperbands

Yup and they beat the crap out of each other in a 400g. I'm trying now with a CB and a marginalis...

I saw a LFS try it, it lasted about 10 mins. These fish hate other butterfly fish that even resemble them. LAs description is typical. ( http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+25+212&pcatid=212) I think any decent source will say the same thing. But I'm sure someone has done it; someone has dome about everything in the hobby---but that doesn't make it a good idea. CBBs don't do well with aggression, period. Aggression between two of them would be a disaster, IMO. These fish need peace & quiet to thrive.

Thanks, I've seen other try to keep multiple species of different butterfly fish with little to no success but I was just curious because these guys seem to be more laid back. I guess the same answer applies: Our tanks are too small

Please keep us updated nonimmigrant

Shall do. The CBB i've had for three years and the marginalis one. They had previously been in different tanks, but I've merged them. They are now chasing each other's tails in the QT. My previous attempt was with two CBB's and that ended in one being removed.
