multiple fuges???

what are every one's thoughts on having multiple fuge's?

what I am thinking is a 45 gal in tank used for a multi macro algae display, a ten gal behind for mangroves, and a 20 gal in the sump for chaeto and red gracilaria. all of this will be for a 135 gal display tank. the main tank is 180 gal with 45 gal sectioned off for the in tank fuge.

thanks in advance for all help and opinions.

well I don't see a problem but why not put the mangroves in with the other stuff or just make a divider in the same tank and the put stuff seperate?

no reason other then dsb depth and it adds another 10 gal to the total system.
the tank on the back will be 24x6x20 witch is more like 12 gal but i want to put a 10 in dsb in there with it being 20 deep.

what kind of thoughts are you looking for. the only bad thing is it complicates things, maybe some would argue unnecessarily so, but if you've got the stuff and desire to do the plumbing there's no harm in it.

I have 4 different brightly lit refugia on my system. The primary reason is more surface area for growing macroalgae. The more the better. :)

thats what i was thinking, but not only more surface area but places for different types of macro. I am figuring out how i'm going to plumb the intank fuge. I am also going to have to redrill a hole in my tank.
