I wanted to add an Achilles when I get my 265 set up.

I now have a Powder Blue and everyone that I asked before said it couldn't be done but I see there are several people on here who have done just that.

Glad I found this thread!

If you add/introduce both Powder Blue and Achilles Tang as a same time, they may become mates :D…. Here is mine

even with all this I'm probably going to cap my tang limit at the powder blue, the atlantic blue, and a little naso.

I plan on adding a small 2inch yellow and purple tang along with a 3inch powder blue and achilles tangs. I have a 280 gallon tank, you guys think this will work? Or more importantly can my bioload handle this much fish at one time? Tank has been running almost a year and currently has:
Blue Tang
Emperor Angel
Morish Idol
4 Lyretail Anthias
Pair of ocellaris clownfish
Lawnmower blenny

Which tangs do you want to add? You could probably get away with another tang or two. The yellow could give your other tangs problems though.

yeah my yellow chases others for a day or so then he backs off completely. Hopefully with sizing them differently I can help some. Considering a chevron, achillies, or sailfin - darn it I just want them all!!

I would go with a chevron different then your others tangs and much more easier to keep then an achilles though a achilles would be my choice.

current list:
vlamingii
blue
yellow

future additions:
purple
sailfin
powder blue
powder brown
convict
yellow mimic
orange shouldered
clown
unicorn
blonde naso
mustard

I have the following in my 120:
1 Blue Hippo
1 Yellow
1 Tomini
1 Powder Brown

I have very open aquascape so they have plenty of swimming room and are very fat and happy. Plus they are pretty much the only fish in the tank except for a wrasse and a small clown.

I personally think its a bad idea to add the powder blue and achilles in with the blue tang already, I'm assuming you mean the Atlantic blue tang and not he blue hippo tang. Mainly because they are the same species and I would expect some aggresssion that and the achilles are extremely ick prone.

I am adding them with a blue hippo tang, i don't expect much aggression from him more i believe i will get from my emp and idol.
