what do i do with it when i am done soakin the rock? 1.dump it in the back yard-probably not the best idea 2. down the drain-will this cause problems with my septic? 3.dump it in the neibors flower bed :hmm2:

Dilute with water before neutralizing with baking soda. Once you have a pH of 7 you can put it down the drain.

Yeah, mine was about 1:10 acid to water. I then diluted it (all told, around 80 gallons) with a giant bag of baking soda from BJ's. Then, after a few hours, I dropped the hose in there and let it slowly overflow into the back yard for another few hours. Then I just dumped the whole thing. No ill effects.
If you're doing it on a smaller scale (assuming it's diluted with water to begin with), I'd just dump in some baking soda, let it circulate, then down the drain with water flowing.

ok,so i think ill pick the rocks out of the buckets with gloves on of course.finish filling with water,put some bakin soda in with it mix and flush.it wasnt that strong tobegin with,1 cup to 5 gal. of water .thanks again

Make sure to give the rocks a good wash off. I did the neutralization and dilution with the rocks still in the water-acid bath.
