mushroom coral fragging

i was fragging a mushroom yesterday with a sharp knife and i slip and i cut it cruced i got part of the mouth tho. i left it in a bowl over night by my tank so i do not get a nitrate spick. i can see the insides of the mushroom. my question is can i put it back in the tank?
and how long does it take to re grow?

should of put it back in the tank last night!!! bout 3-6 months it will be back... u cant kill mushrooms... people actually frag them in a blender there so hardy..

Depending on parameters, and nutrients they'll grow back fairly quick. My shrooms seem to split on their own.

Just make sure your shroom frags are weighted down in your main tank or they will blow in the flow and get sucked up by a powerhead. Rubber-band it to a piece of rubble until it attaches on its own.

My shrooms never liked rubber bands. I like to put a mesh over them and rubber band the sides of the mesh so that the rubber bands aren't putting pressure on the actually shroom and only the mesh is holding it down.

i have a shallow wide mouth mason jar with revive media in it. plastic screw on cover with top cut out and veil mesh material over the opening (but under the screw on cover so it stays).

You can glue a piece of PVC to a frag plug stand it vertically and put the shroom in and it will sit on the plug and not float away ,, when it attaches to the plug you remove the pvc

I put my mushies in a cup with a thin layer of crushed coral at the bottom then cover the cup with an old nets mesh. They attach to the crushed coral and makes for easy attachment.

my buddy runs a ric farm in his tank just cuts them right down the middle and glues the new pcs to a piece of rock and throws back in tank and never had a problem

omgosh blender fragging sounds awesome seems so farfetched to have survival rate but then again it doesn't ill have to look that one up ty for that info..

Well with blender fragging you aren't making a soup. Just cutting em up a couple times per mushy
