i have a few really nice orange ricordea mushrooms that i really want to split has anyone on here done this before is it the same as splitting regular mushrooms.

Yes and no. It also depends on whether they are Yuma or Florida. I have had better luck cutting Florida's but I don't think either take to it as well as regular mushrooms.

i dont think its yuma i think yumas have bumps on there oral disc this one doesnt. so it must be a florida

My orange ricordeas usually split on their own.

If requirements are met they should grow several mouths then split on their own like previously stated.

i didnt try it on the RIC yet i did have a buddy give me a very bright orange regular mushroom that i cut into four peices. this was my first time fraging anything so hopeing for the best

I'v never cut them. They split asstehy grwow,ime.

i have a bunch of others that do but the really nice ones i have dont seem to on there own so i went ahead and tried it. hope it works becouse they are like a neon orange really sharp looking

How long have you had them?

5 to 6 months and i feed them. all the other mushrooms within a month are splitting or leaving little ones all over lol
