Mushroom corals ?

Hi I am new to this hobby, yesterday someone gave me corals and I cut them off (and smoshed some of them) and they are floating around now they are just sitting at the bottom. Are they dead, how long does it take to grow thanks

A picture would help to identify them

Usually mushrooms are pretty hardy and easy to frag.

Chances are they will survive, try to put some rock rubble in a glass or something in the bottom of the tank and put the mushrooms in there and wait for them to reattach to a rock and place them in the desired area

Nope still no photos...on that page try right clicking on the photo, select view image, then copy paste that address into the bar for the yellow mountain icon.

How long has it been since you cut them? 24 hours?

I see them when I click. Probably because I'm a member of photobucket. Copy the link next to IMG. Paste in your reply.

That said, put them next to some rocks or crazy glue their base to a small rock or shell. Just make sure they don't get sucked up by the power heads or pump strainers. They should attach if the conditions are good.

Crazy glue. Any cyanoacrylate gel. I use the LocTite gel from Home Depot.

Dry the base real well with a paper towel and use the glue. After 10 seconds of curing you can put it back in the tank with low flow.

No. They need to have the head cut from the base.

When I cut them I always had a nice niche to wedge them in. After a few days to a week they attach.
