I got a mushroom today and the bowl I put it in to acclimmate with adrip had a crack I did not see and leak all the water out after about half an hour of drip water
so I put the mushroom in the tank and it sort of through up sort of white string
what can I do to help it and what are it chances thank you

chances are probably pretty good. the white string could be a slime coating it's expelling, or it could be venting waste out the oral canvity (which is also the anus for any coralamorphin).

people take mushrooms out of their tanks, put them on cutting boards, and slice them up with razor blades to frag them, so I think your fine.

keep a eye on it . if it statrs to turn to mush take it out
good luck avoided a problem tonight myself {broke heater}

I can see that people are reading this please if you have any advice take the time to post I really would like any advice or story I making me really worried

Are these hairy mushrooms?

I had some hairy ones acclimating in the bag and they seemed to have the 'strings' you are talking about....Just kept acclimating as usual and introduced to tank as usual and they are all fine now....

I wouldnt worry too much about it....it should be fine.

I recently just fragged some shrooms, they did the same thing.... just let them re-adjust and all should be good.

But as said above, just keep an eye on it.

Their exending their fillaments because they are stressed. This is a natural response and how they attack neighboring corals. I wouldn't worry about it, it will be better tomorrow. Mushrooms are the hardest coral to kill.

thank you to all who answered thank and sorry for what must be some of the worst grammer and spelling of my life
