mushroom growth

I bought a rock with about 6 mushrooms on it,some red some green and was just wondering if there's any way to promote the spread of the mushrooms to the rest of my tank

There are foods you can use. I've used cyclop-eez.

I wouldn't bother, trust me they're going to spread all over your tank! Took my blue ones maybe a month before they started spreading/moving off the frag onto the rocks. Then I moved the frag to another rock across the tank & they did it there too. The red ones took about a month to start letting go of the frag & blowing around the tank to attach all over the place. When they liked the location, they'd start moving over a little bit every day & leaving babies behind. No feeding required, just patience for a few weeks!

In my experience, ricordea grow slower.

Believe me, after a while they will cover everything in the tank! I purchased a small green/red rhodactis polyp for 30 dollars, now its colony covers an entire rock and each polyp is near 6" across! These are truly easy to keep corals, I would not even bother feeding them.
