Mushroom on the move

Hi all, just picked up my second piece of coral this week, a little ricordea mushroom. The guy at the LFS said it will pretty much go where it wants. Well, he wasn't wrong, every morning when I get up it is in a different spot. Is it okay to just let him/her float around like that? I'm assuming it will eventually attach somewhere, or should I put him in a glass with some rubble and eventually when he attaches to some, glue him down somewhere?

glue will often not work... you can put it in a glass with some small stones on the bottom and see if it attach it on it.. then you glue the stone somewhere you want...

IME a jelly jar or urine cup works great. I used to call it The Cup Of Shame. Any shrooms that refused to attach did time in The Cup. But turns out they seem to like it in there. Good luck!
