Mushroom prop question

I fragged off a Ricordia that had moved off a rock and onto some sand. I got 5 frags from it. I was planning on getting out to the frag swap even if I have to take personal time at work. I also have 2 small frags of colt, i think it is colt, to bring.

Anywho I used the bridal veil technique on 4 of the frags, the 5th had picked up a nass snail shell so I jsut super glued that to the rock. The 4 with the bridal veil have not attached to the rocks yet. It has been like 3 weeks. Is there anythign I can do to get them to stick better. I hate to show up with frags that are not attached.
On a plus note the part that was attached to the rock on my colt is starting to sprout little buds so it survived the fragging process.

Any suggestions? THanks

You're not opening up the container to check on it every day are you? The best thing seems to be just leaving it be for a while.

oh no lol. They are placed on the chunk of rubble then I put bridal veil over and rubber band that around the rubble. I did check one last week but it was still loose. They still "look" loose so that is why I am asking.

lose the rubber band, is the veil tight?

I do this all the time and it always works in like a week

oh no lol. I have heard of the toothpick method too but I hate to go stabbing things then expect them to grow. I will check the later if I get a chance and see if the attached.

I have the best luck with shrooms attaching when nothing is irritating them. is the bridal veil touching them? maybe use like a strawberry basket or something like it. I have used baby jars in the past if you know anyone who has some.

I have used juice glasses and they worked just fine too.

Ran out of baby food jars a long time ago.

oh I have plenty of baby food jars if you need any. I can try that I guess. I was hoping they would be attached by sat.

Mine always seemed to attach pretty quickly when I did it that way.

Make sure to set them on the rock. If they get set on the glass they'll attach to it too. Best part is that they are REAL easy to get off the glass.

Ok I won't touch them until sat. Worse comes to worse I will bring them in their veils. They will be rare blue wedding ricordia The colt thing though is looking good so I will bring that too. I hope to be there.

i like that ramtheory i got few striped mushrooms blowing around tank i've had problems before with them reattaching gonna try the jar out.
