mushroom question

i think/thought my maroon clowns buried my red mushroom. went to dig it out and it is gone!dont know where it went. any clues/ideas? i have heard of them packing up and moving but i dont see it anywhere. i hope i didnt lose it.

it was only buried a day when i went to dig him up but it got buried often and i would dig it out. at least 2 times a week

i had one that i thought was lost for months upon months. when i took the tank down it was on a rock with a bunch of babies. very cool discovery.
