mushroom rock with zoas

I just acquired a rock that has both mushrooms and zoos. I understand that the lighting requirements are different for each. Should I try to relocate the shrooms so I can keep the zoos under brighter lighting? If so...how is best.

If they both grew on the same rock and were not glued there, they require the same lighting (or at least grow in the same conditions).

Depends on the zoos. IME darker colored ones require less light than brighter colors. Really they should be fine under the same lighting.

I would just to make sure the zoas are safe. The mushrooms will either sting them or get so big itll block any light from the zoas.

The shrooms are starting to overgrow the zoas so I think I do want to move them. I am new at this so please give me some suggestions on moving the shrooms from one rock to another.

As far as lighting .. you can keep them under the same light if they were naturally attached to the rock .

i have rocks with zoas and shrooms on them and they dont bother each other at all.

if you want to remove the shrooms get a small chizel or a screw driver and slighty tap under the foot of the shroom .. you will get some of the LR along with the shroom.

Good Luck
