Mushrooms not as big lately?

recently i have noticed my shrooms not opening as much and some have released and are on the bottom of the tank?

for yrs now they were always big and almost taking over the aquascape but recently i have noticed they are recending and withdrawn?

any thoughts people?

all are within spec, everthing is fine the only new addition is new lighting had to replace MH 250s

Light shock would be my guess.

From my experience, my mushrooms only open up as large as they need to in order to get the light they need. Therefore, if they're in shadowed areas, they are larger and sometimes have longer stems. If I have them where they get a lot of light (300+par), they stay about like dimes and just multiply. I have one small rock that stays in high light, and it just sends drifters all over the tank. When they come to rest behind rocks, they grow bigger.
