Mushrooms turned white

I have had purple mushrooms in the tank for some time now. They seemed to have been thriving and spreading. Now they are all white as if the color has been bleached out. All else in the tank seems fine. Water conditions are good - I change the water regularly and all the fish and other soft coral seem healthy. Any thoughts as to why the mushrooms would lose their color? Does the color come back?

What is your salinity & alk? Di you have the mushrooms higher or lower in your tank compared to other corals? Type & wattage of lighting?
