mushrooms

I have this random rock in my tank that has some little kenya trees and polyps on it. it also has 2 nice mushrooms attached to it, one on each side of the rock. dont know what kind but they are green with white stripes.

id like to remove them from this rock and grow them elsewhere but it seems impossible without destroying them. My buddy says "dude, you can pretty much rip thos off and put em in a blender and you will have a bunch." im sure this is a bit extreme but can i litterly rip them off and will they grow back?

take a fresh razor and cut them off the rock, oh and people have ripped them off the rock and they heal fine, but if you want to keep them use the razor. after you cut them off put them in a shot glass with some rubble rock in it and put the mushroom in it and place it in a very low flow spot and in a week it should be attached. Mushrooms are very hardy animals. you can look in the section called corallimorphs on this form it is a spot for mushrooms only.

are you able to take the rock back out of the tank?

if you are careful, you can chisel off a piece of the rock with the mushroom.
