So i've been using this container my wife had in the kitchen for sometime now to make sure I was getting a true gallon of contents when I mixed up my two part. i used to then dump the contents in a 5 gallon bucket and start mixing. the calcium part is no big deal, used to mix up in a few minutes. the alkalinity part (baking soda), however, was a pain in the butt and took upwards of 20 minutes to a half hour to fully mix. I got the idea tonight to use the top for the container that has a strainer/mixer in it and a handle to use it. The baking soda completely dissolved in basement temperature water (68 or so I'm guessing) within 10 minutes. the calcium dissolved easily within a minute of mixing. The container is marked to the quart I believe and is distributed through Pampered Chef I think. i'm sure there are other ones out there from different brands though. This is a definite new addition to my reefing tools, just don't tell my wife!
