My 10g FOWLR

Well I would have continued on one that I had goin' for a long time, but I couldn't find it....so now I have to ask a few questions....As the thread name says.....I have a 10g FOWLR....I was wondering what would the wattage of light be for a tank like this? And would I be able to do 2 Green Clown Gobies...or just one?

Thanks a bunch!

im not too sure... but if you only have fish... i dont think the lights really matter. From what i have heard, the live rock doesnt even need lights to be a substrate for beneficial bacterias.

ahh ok...cuz since im new @ this sorta...maybe around next summer...I'd like to try just some simple corals....idk...but yea...so ur not sure about the clown gobies?

ok...Now what about Feather Dusters....are they hard to keep? I know they need extra supplements, but other than that...?

Hmmm

Click the "Hmm"....that's a protein skimmer that I saw in a magazine that I'm thinkin' about ordering....now I know its not FANTASTIC...but it's in my price range....is it worth it?

feather dusters are easy to keep, as long as you dont have crabs. They killed my duster... oh, and as long as you feed with phytoplankton.

about that skimmer... ive never seen it before, or heard anyone talk about it. I use a CPR Bakpak 2 and its AWESOME for my tank.. i got it used for $50.. so maybe you should just post a thread in ur area saying that ur looking for one, so you can score a good used one.

So my hermits will attack it?!? Dang.....well I think I'm goin' to get a new bulb for my tank today, cuz right now all I have is an 18" under cabinet bulb. It lights it okay, but I want something for aquariums. I was looking at the zoomed ones. I'm thinking of either the Ultra Sun(6500K) one, or the Ocean Sun(10000K) one. I might plan on getting some sort of really easy polyp to care for...So I'm not really sure what to go with.

Actually, don't be suprised if the clown gobies fight and one kills the other. They have a reputation of doing this, sometimes even in huge tanks.

You may want to try some other type of goby along with a clown goby... such as a shrimp goby.

yea...I think I'm just gonna get one green clown goby....and since I bought a new light which is suitable for some corals....I was thinkin' maybe in a month or month and a half that i may pick one up....what are some easy, not too expensive ones??
Thanks
