My 10gal - 3rd revision

Here's the latest version of my 10 gal. The 10g was the first SW setup that I bought over a year and a half ago from Mayoboy. It's kind of fun keeping this little tank going, so I just keep it up and see what happens. With my big tank coming online, I have been somewhat remiss with my care of the little tank. Water changes have not been frequent enough and I accidentally imported some cyano from my 26gal on some coral when I took that tank down to stock the 120. Late last night I did a complete clean out of the old, really dirty sand, cleaned off the rock and corals as best as possible, and started anew once again. You can do this stuff with a 10 gal and that makes it kind of neat if you want to change things up a little. I have some frags of stuff in there and will probably populate some coral frags from my big tank into the 10 to help fill it in. Yes, the chromis is the only little fishy in the tank. He likes the 10g. When I put him in the 26g, all he did was hide for almost a month, so back he went to where he was happy.

Here is a pic of the first edition, after it had grown in quite a bit. It was cannibalized to stock the 26 gal and became the 2nd edition with leftovers. I didn't take any pics of the 2nd edition much because it became just kind of a frag grow out tank for awhile. Here's the first edition from about a year ago.

The first edition had a canopy that Mayoboy had made which housed those little screw in type power compacts. I used 4 of those that were the 20w 50/50 variety over it. During the second edition, I sold the canopy and switched over to the Coralife 96w PC 50/50. It does ok, as you can see, even the monti cap I just tossed in there has been growing under them. However, some of the other corals act like this light is too intense for them on this small of a tank. Plus, on mine, the cooling fan is noisy. So overall, I'm not particularly fond of it. Thinking of eventually trying some kind of lower wattage MH pendant or something like that. I think they have 75w MH'ers around.

LOL...no. That tank is still dry at the moment. Its eventual use will probably be a topoff reservoir. I thought about using it to switch to when cleaning up my 10g, but the cleanup work of that one you gave me was going to take too much work in the middle of the night, so I just did a quick cleanup of the 10g I already had and restocked it.
