Thanks Chris.

Live Aquaria has a Gem for sale now.

Anyone got an extra few thousand bucks lying around?

:D

I DO plan to get one, but I work for a VERY good LFS. We just had five of them a few weeks again and we are gonna get more . ;)

I think I saw that on R2R. I would love to but I'm so scared to lose a fish that expensive. There's other things I need like a new skimmer and bigger tank.

Nice selection of fish

Thanks. Here's the fish list for the 120.

1Achilles Tang
1Hippo Tang
1Watanabe Angel
1Mystery Wrasse
1Yellow Corris
1Black Leopard Wrasse
2 Neon Gobys
2 False Percs
1 Green Chromis
1 Ventralis Anthias (had 4 but 3 died, hard fish to keep)

In my 30 gallon(not pictured)

2 Hippo Riedi
1 YashaGoby w/ pistolshrimp
1 Helfichi FireFish
1 Tailspot Blenny

It's a 120 gallon 48x24x24 and a 30gallon Seahorse Tank all plumped to an ADHI 45fuge for the sump. The sump is 40 gallons so my system is a total of 200 gallons.

Lighting is 2x250w HQI Metal Halides 12K reeflux with MagneticBallasts 4x54w T5s for the 120g

1x150w 14K Pheonix for the 30g

The skimmer is a crappy Coralife 225.
I'm picking up an MRC-MR3r in a week from a fellow NJRC member. I'm gonna over skim the hell out of my tank. But it'll still be good when I upgrade my tank.

The return pump is a QuietOne 6000.

Running Carbon, Phosban, Matrix in 3 seperate reactors.

I have an Autotopoff.com ATO running to a Precision Marine Kalk Reactor (keeps my Ph at 8.2-8.3)

I have an MRC-MR6 Calcium Reactor Dual Chamber w/ all the upgrades. Blueline pump/spraybar.

All of it is being runned with and ACjr. Looking to get an AC3 eventually.

The tanks been running since July '07. It's been taken apart 2wice since then. Once because I dropped a frag and once because I had a feather duster outbreak and I took my rock out to scrub it all.

Oh yeah. I'm also getting rid of all those Korallias (there's 6 in the tank three K2s,two K3s, and one K4 ... and i'm gonna get 2 Vortech MP40w's with a 1" Seaswirl in the middle. I hate the look of all those pumps in my tank.

Mike

The tank looks great!

Awesome fish and corals!

I think you're going to love the VorTechs, I like mine!

Show us some pics of the MR3 when you get it, they are beastly skimmers! I am looking for heavy duty 2" BH so I can run My MR4.

Thanks Bax.

Will do. I'm actually a bit worried. I was just talking to somone about overskimming my tank and he said that a possible downside could be that over skimming by 3.5X the skimmer will remove things like essential nutrients for the coral..

You think this is true?

IMO, with that bioload and consistant feedings you'll be hard pressed to "overskim" your tank.

I must add that you have a wicked fish collection as well! I see you mentioned that you had 4 ventralis anthias before and that they were hard to keep. Was it hard to get them to eat? Or some other reason? I know some anthias are collected from deeper water, and have a hard time adjusting to our reef tanks (if they even can), a good example is that anthias with "leopard-like" markings on the side I've seen recently.

Keep up the great reefing!

Mike

What he said. A good amount of fish stocking and proper feeding of the fish should keep the corals well maintained. Skim the dickens out of it!!!

Thanks for the info guys. I do feed Rod's Food which is heavy as well.

And thanks for the good comments.

My ventralis were hard because I couldn't get them to eat. The one that did eat ended up living. I should have waited till the LFS got them eating but I was impatiant.

Next time i'll make sure they're eating before I get them.
