Well It's been quite a journey...After upgrading my old 80 gallon saltwater Fish only tank to a 125 gallon reef tank this past April 2005 I have been quite pleased and rather fish crazy....

I have been doing saltwater since 6th or 7th grade....Now I just graduated from High School I'm now entering the reef arena just in the past year or so....

After establishing my tank about 8 months ago as well as upgrading my tank to metal halide from the undesirable JEBO pcs I had I would think my tank has been pretty okay....

I'am now getting all my rock covered with coraline the walls of my tank are showing with splotches of Purple coralline and I have a few corals here and there....

Everything seems to be alive...A few additions here and there...

-A LTA that is 12 inches in diameter from Minh ...

a few frogspawn, hammer, bubbles,a small acro frag that i though would die but seems to be growing but very slowly and what not...

But, to my suprise in the LTA after catching my mean 4 icnh Marron Clownfish ....My Domino Damselfish began hosting in it....Yes that is right a Domino fish is hosting in my LTA like a NEMO....Just before I got 2 percula clowns yesterday from exotic....

So, now I dont know what the 2 perculas would do since the fat domino took their natural home.....

Anways....my root concern is .....fish....I seem to gone fish crazy...

I always seem to envy those tanks on google searches that showed large schools of all different colored fishes.....

But, it seems this fish envy has transfered to my craziness...

Now I have a 125 gallon reef tank with about 150 to perhaps 200 pounds of live rock....

But here is a list of my fish....

1) Yellow Tang 4-5 inches
2) Blue Tang 5 inch
3) Blue Tang 4-5 inch
4) 1 fat 2 inch domino damselfish
5) another fat domino damselfish
6) yellowtail blue damselfish
7) another yellowtail damsel

8-12) 5 3 striped damselfish...They seem to school at times...

13) Coral Beauty Angelfish 4-5 inch

14) Fireball Angelfish... 3-4 inch

15)strawberry dottyback

16) A mandarinfish

17) 1 inch percula clown

18) a .7- 1inch percula clown mate...

19) one 2 inch un-identified damsel

20) my 4-5 inch marron clownfish that i moved to the sump area

21) my tomato clownfish a friend gave me that I also moved to an area in the sump...

>>>>>And i think that may be it unless I'am missing a fish or two<<<<

So what does every one think.....

To much fish ??? for a 125 gallon reef tank .....

I think you have way too many fish... I would get rid of the damsels, tomato & maroon clownfish, and one of the blue tangs. Any pictures?

I would have to agree, that's a lot of fish for a 125. I too would get rid of the dominos. I don't know if you have seen them grown up but very aggressive and not very good looking. I would also be careful of the maroon. As they are often very aggressive with other clowns of any species but are beautiful fish and don't belong in a sump. The yellowtails will also become problematic as they mature.

BTW I certainly understand, I've done some tank "packing" also. Some of the fish are just so cool.

well the marron clown and tomato are sepearted and isolated in my sump until I find a home for them.....But they are fine there for now....

as for the damsels....I dont think I will be able to catch them at all...

Right now I think this it for sure...It seems my two blue tangs are doing great together....I guess they love each others company...so does the yellow tang...I have not even seen them fight even once...Everyone seems to be happy...Especially the fat domino that goes an host my LTA instead my two nemos....

What is strange is I check my water parameters and well there is 0 ppm on everything or close to it...And. I usually do 3-4 week water changes...of 15 gallons....And a skimmer...

I do also carbon filtering....

I will monitor the damsel situation ,but right now it seems that they are okay...But we all know to well that damsels can get darn nasty....

Ohhh....like i said if anyone wants to give my two clowns a home I would like to get $10 obo or trades of coral and no fish anymore ....

And for the Maroon clown I would like to get $20 or trades for him....I got him at Exotic a couple of months before they closed down....

:D :D :D Happy Reefing...
