Btw, I cant put any salt in till I get a skimmer.
Can't? How come?

BTW, "can't" shall not be in our vocabulary :D

The skimmer is internal right?
I'd say use up the IO if you have some then switch to TM.
Scott and I calculated the cost of IO versus TMPro. it was only 5¢ a gallon more for TM Pro versus IO. If you are gonna buy salt I'd get a hold of a bag of TM regular I think it works out to only 2¢ a gallon more than IO if you buy the 300 gallon bag of TM, and then you know your alk and calcium will be the same.

Just FYI with a calcium reactor and using TM Pro I get a very stable alk of 9dkh and calc. at 420 which is about as perfectly balanced as you can get. I buffer nothing.

Lol! Im just not going to mix salt yet till I get a skimmer. I just feel more comfortable that way.

Chris, the skimmer can be used internal or external if it ever gets made. Ill give the manufacturer till end of the day tommorow. If it doesnt happen, Ill go a different route as far as skimmer goes. Maybe an internal Euro Reef 250 or a beckett. Ill just use the rest of this Seachem I got left to get started. I want it gone anyways. Ill start using the TM for the 90 and the WC from that will go into the new 150. Ill take my time before a complete change over is done.

thats a great idea just keep changing water in the 90 into the 150.
do big water changes, I want to see some rock in there LOL.

Just call Premium Aquatics and get a mini bubble king shipped out tonmorrow ;) You wont regret it

BK mini!? Yah Chris, thats way out of my budget. One thing for sure that Im happy with is, not one item on this tank build went into a credit card nor a store card. Id like to keep it that way so dont tempt me! LOL!(i have considered the BK mini bigtime though) Change of plans on the tank. im draining it right now. I can not aquascape much this weekend since its football season(yes, I like football as much as reefing) and its my wifes bday this weekend too. So Ill drain it tonight and will start rinsing out 5 bags of sand starting tommorow. I have been tinkering with the rock I have on the pool table and I decided that I like a packed rock aquascape than an open look.

I know Russ i just like to poke you about the BK cause I know you want one ;)
Maybe I'll win one week after next and bring it home to you :)

I'll make sure I get you video footage of all the skimmers there LOL
hopefully somebody will have a BK

Got the aquascaping done. Im pretty happy with it. i tried the open look and I just wasnt feeling it.

Love the rockwork there....about as smooth as Michael Vick's move running from that pit bull on your avatar... LOL...

But really though, some of those peices look like they are barely hanging on, how did you get them to do that? Did you drill and put rods in them or they just happened to settle that way? Looking good....

Nice, I was wondering how that worked / looked....looks good...you have to drill them pretty deep to make sure they stay?

I love the rockwork Russ! It's not as open as some of those Japanese tanks, but it still has spots where you have some open sand.

Russ, your rockwork rocks man.

looks great Russ, I think for the size and shape of the tank that rock layout is going to look sweet! I can see all of the bright SPS now................

Thanks guys. I got an email from my skimmer maker and he said it should be done this afternoon. He is going to email me a pic for approval.
