I am from South Africa and have been a member of ReefCental for some time
So I thought that it is time to start my own thread here and share my tank with you
Here's the tank spec
1m x 1m x 500mm (Water level at 450mm)
1. Gross water volume of your complete system (incl. sump etc.). 640L
2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.)Display 400L sump 125L and frag tank 115L
3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique. No, 2 part dosing ALK and CA
4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.)No
5. Are you using Ozone. No
6. Are you using UV. No
7. What skimmer are you using (type). JNS SK-5
8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels. NO3 - 5, PO4 Don't know wait for hanna test
9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels. ca 440, Alk 7.3 Mag 1300
10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.). Skimmer and Zeovit
11. Type of light (Watt, color temp, how old, etc.). 2 x 250W Metal Halide 14K, 2x ATI 36W blue plus, 3 x ATI 24W blue plus, 3 x ATI 24W aquablue special
12. What corals do you keep. SPS,LPS and Soft corals mostly SPS
13. Tissue color (light or dark). Dark
14. How long has the tank been running. 1 year
15. Any supplemental dosing (type, amount, why, etc.). Zeo AA for colour and food, Zeo Potassium for red and blue colours, Zeostart, Zeobak, coral vital, Sponge power and Biomate
16. Live rock (how much, how old, etc.). 30 kg one year ago.
17. What test kit do you use (how old, recently switched, etc.). ALK Selifert, CA Salifert, NO3 Salifert, MAG Salifert, PO4 wait for Hanna
18. Other water parameters and water stability (salinity, temp, etc.). 1.026, 25.5 Temp, ALK 7.3, MAG 1200, CA 440, NO3 2, PO4 blind
19. Which salt brand do you use. Red sea salt changed a month ago from Red Sea Coral Pro KH to High
