I'm breaking down and adding a sump in the next day or 2....little fuge and more volume to get the conditions more stable.....I knew it would happen hahaha

I'm thinking of the sump idea as well, but it'll come later in the development of my tank if I decide to. Already have a hob fuge.

My issue is space and making it all look clean...I can put my fuge over my tank but then I have a big pump in my dt which will look ugly...I have some spair parts sitting arounf I'm gonna see what I can rig up....it will likley b a 10 gallon tank with some macro alge maybe some lr and ls too. Plus it wil add about 8galons to my total volume. I was gonna do the hob fuge but with you being able to see both sideof the tank that won't work

dude go with the lawnmower...i just got one in my 20 long about 1 week ago, and hes so dang cool. plus it helps if you ever have a hair algae break out

i had one in my 56 but he disappeared when i got my mandarins....they both eat pods...im likleys going to go with the scooter...im facing a crisis in this tank now....my nitrides got to high so i did a 5 gallon water change but it dropped the tamp from 78 to 72....im PRAYING the change doesnt kill everything....i put my big heater from my 56 into my nano so the temp rises fast.....say your prayers....adding a sump tomorrow!!!! screw having a 14 gallon total volume!!!! time for a 20 gallon fuge!!!!!!!

my 2 are doing GREAT in my 56....the male seams to be getting fatter than the female....Im dosing pods so fast the mandarins are always eating....I got a LITTLE target in my 20 and hes doing well too....hes really fat for being as small as he is.

HAHAHA funny you say that because I just added a sump with some cheato...it was a great concept but just didnt work how I had planned....I have a small 10 gallon sump just to increase the water volume some...

So ive changed this tank around a million times since its start I now have
750 gph powerhead
150 gph hob filter with filter floss (and soon to be carbon)
50 watt heater
48 watt coralife t5 fixture
cpr in tank fuge

i trashed the sump because i didnt like the look...the extra volume was nice but not necessary

You just gave me a huge amount if inspiration. My plan is to get a 17.4g mr aqua and have a 40br as a sump with a huge refugium. I just one a blue mandarin and maybe clownfish but if i cant have both i want the mandarin more.
