My 225 Setup Build

Here is my setup from beginning to now. I bought the tank, stand, and was given a 55 gallon for a sump and protein skimmer for 400 dollars. It was purchased June 1st, 2010. So here it goes.

The Stand. I used a polyurethane and applied many many coats.

The Canopy

Canopy finished. I painted the inside with exterior paint for reflection and protection. So i decided if it works for the inside, why not for the outside. The fans will be used to keep the tank cool from 400W mh lighting.

The sump and pump I will be using. The sump is custom made and I got the idea from Melev's Reef. The pump is an ViaAqua 8000.

The lighting. They are magnetic ballast and yes very old school but the whole deal was 200 dollars.

I put the tank in the house around the week before my bday.

Tank aquascaped. Plus it also took me 4 days to fill it up. Approximately close to 300 gallons.
