If you do use threaded fittings use a teflon plumbers putty. You can get it in a tube at HD or Lowe's.

Nice build, can't wait to see it up and running.

Lovin' the Man Cave theme! You've already put lots of work into what definitely looks like a great start! Looks like you've got the whole thing planned very well. I'm subscribed ...

I've been watching your build as well. I have been reading up on your acrylic building skills to make a frag tank. I have the pieces cut and need to get the thing glued on mon.

I've never seen it. I'll be checking it out on Mon. thanks! Have you used it before?

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I just got the 90gal. sump drilled and got the baffles cut. I am off to lowes to get some silicone to glue them in. I also have the light rack finished and will be installing them within the next 2 days. I am going to use barn door rails and wheels to be able to slide the rack to allow easier access to the tank. I was going to use some of those aluminum sliding door rails that GlassReef(Tom) used on his build but I would have had to buy 2 sets. I need rails that are almost 12' long. The rails are steel I believe so I will give them a coat with some rustolium paint to hold off the rust as long as possible! I'll be sure to post pics!!!!!!

, Everything looks great, I wish here in So Cal we had basements. For sanding you really need the respirators with the pink filters, I use mine all of the time.

Let's just say that sanding sucks! It was on pretty thickn in some spots. I have zero experience doing framing/drywall/anything construction. I'm happy how things turned out though!

quick question....................

what type of silicone should I be using to glue in some baffle in my sump??

I picked up some GE I clear silicone that doesn't have the mildew junk in it. Will that work? I have always had acrylic sumps so I'm new to the DIY sump business.

You can buy the silicone for aquarium I do not think it is much more expensive and I believe that you can buy it at Lowes. Bubble King has some stuff that is black and you can do a repair with water in the tank.

Well, after a long list of projects that took precedence over the tank and fish room I am back to the grind. I got the fish room floor painted and am picking up a utility sink tomorrow and get that started as well.

One question: The fish room has my furnace in it and was wondering if any issues could come to pass because of that. I am looking into getting some type of ventilation in the room and will need to figure out how to vent a 1hp chiller outside as well. Any suggestions?

anyone have any ideas about my last ????? It has been a slow process but I am back at it again. I also sold my RKE and am planning on picking up an APEX with and extra EB8.
