my 255 starfire ocean upgrade!

Ahhhhh I miss having an inwall tank. Your whole setup and basement look great. I love the pics of the kids. What are their ages? I have 4 close in age too. I had them all within 5 years!

whoa.. this is going to be a cooker of a system.. cant wait and keep the pics coming.. awsome lounge...

Thanks. Its been fun setting up when I have the time. I will post pics. tonight of the light rack that I have started. I just need to attach the VHO's to it.

Wow!!, great work!!, continue pls!! XD

Thanks as well. The work has been slow but rewarding.I have never done any construction work in my life. The basement was just cinder blocks and some nasty green smelly carpet with junk boxes before all this! I just watched youtube videos to see how to drywall, lay wood floors, and tile.

I have 4 kids. In Oct. they were 1,2,3, and 4. They are all like 15-17 months or so apart. We figured have them while we are young and broke and them be gone before we turn 50!!!! I mean really broke! I don't think you can ever have enough money or be "ready" to have kids no matter what age you are. Its always going to be hard. :fun5::fun5::fun5::fun5::fun5:

This will be my first in wall tank and I hope that it looks as good when I finish as I hoped it would. thanks again

Dream tank and dream room for any of us guys married with kids! Especially 4. Good luck with the rest of the project.

Things are coming along. I have pics. I just need to post them. SORRY:sad2:
I am doing a plumbing leak test tomorrow and then will go from there.

Best man cave I've ever seen! Just give me a fast wireless internet connection and I could sit there for hours.

Great looking build & equipment list & fantastic job on the whole room! Can't wait to see this up & running.

Wow, great work so far. Looks really, really good! Count me in for updates on this one.

I'm currently working on an in-wall in my basement man cave, as well. You can see my build thread by going to my homepage, if interested.

I look forward to seeing more progress!

Thanks oldude! I can only hope mine can look as nice as yours when it matures. My apex should be here tomorrow!!!!! I sold my RKE for the apex. I was hoping to get water into it tonight but I don't think it is going to happen. Tomorrow is another day. I could rush it and do a sloppy job getting things together but I've been down that road before.

This is what happens when you build your wall around your tank and then need to attempt to move the tank off the stand. WHOOPS................so much for a clean dry wall look

Here is a pic of my almost finished sump. I painted the trim red to go along with the red and white theme I will have going on. I still need to throw in my rack for the filter floss.

Have to love new toys. Now I just need to tango with someone to help me get through setting this thing up. This is my first controller to set up and it doesn't look to fun.

I tried to get a pic. of my light rack set up on rollers!!!! I used barn door rails from lowes and painted them white. All I have left to do is throw on the VHO's and plug it all in!!

My skimmer cleaning sink!!!!!!!

I started the plumbing but had to take a break and move everything back into the fishroom because my wife had a photo shoot. I hate moving stuff around 100 times. I spend more time maneuvering around my stuff then I do working on setting this thing up :(

This is what it looks like with all my crap thrown in to get it out of the way of my wife!!!! luv you honey!

Was wondering why you switched from your RKE to the APEX? Awesome looking room--basement rock

I never did set up my RKE. I bought it when it first came out because I thought I would have my tank set up by now but that was wishful thinking!!! I went with the apex for the ability to setup over the web interface, have named outlets, hook up to my iphone, and have the tunze slots built in, and to be able to run 2 pH probs from the main unit. The RKE has non of those as far as I know. I just hope I can set this thing up. The manual is a buch of mumbo jumbo to me:eek1:
