A little bit of non leaky plumbing!!!! Every bit of printing on the pvc was sanded clean. I also used clear pvc primer as well. The purple primer has always bugged me.

Here you can see the external overflow and the 3 drains and returns. I used the beananimal overflow style drains as found on RC. The first is the siphon drain, the next with the air hose is the open siphon, and the last is the emergency drain. The alpha 300 cone skimmer chugging away. Not bad for like 250 gallons of new water!! That is 5 days worth.
IMG_5538_1333x2000.jpg

The head fell because I just feed and had my hands all in the tank. Whoops.
IMG_5565_2000x1333.jpg

Salt water mixing station. Its still in the works. I need to paint the lids BK red and add the plumbing and what not for a hands free water change!!!
IMG_5544_2000x1333.jpg

RO/DI unit and utility sink. I will be painting the plywood red that the RO/DI unit is on tomorrow.

I just did that video really quick. I have seen some really cool hd videos on here as of late. I just need to take the time to make a cool one and edit it. Dude, the turbulence in the chamber is not bad at all and the bubbles are super small. I am just starting to fine tune it to my bio load.

How is your tank coming? Did you get it yet? I need to jump on your thread.

The controller thing is me being not so pleased with the way I saw DA handled its business and customer support. I never even set the silly thing up. But when I would read there sponsor section and see that no one was responding to questions and issues that people had I decided that I did not want to deal with that in the long run. I have been on their own forum and I was not impressed there either. And the APEX had amenities that I wanted. And right after I bought the net module for the RKE the thing was then included in a package for $100 less then what I had just paid for it. I just did want to support it. Sorry for the rant:frog:

the progress looks great. Post some updates?

I need to do my aquascape still. I added like 22 fish all at once to get my skimmer churning away. Need less to say it is pulling some nog now. I am going to wait a few more days to let my fish put some weight on. A few of them are more delicate and I didn't want to stress them more out by moving around all the rock. Lesson learned: do aquascape first then add fish. :fun5: It's all good though, the fish are doing great and I can already tell some are putting on weight.

wow!!great work can't wait to see it fill in.

I feel the same way. I hope my 265gal "frag tank" fills in nicely!! Thanks

A mid morning snack anyone????

I bought 2 of them in hopes to luck out and get a male and female but no luck. They just hang out on opposite sides of the tank!

thanks for the info on the controllers, i was too leaning towards the apex controller, much of the same reasons you stated about there service/support.

one day you have to show us these 22 fish you aquired :)

been following your build eran,

I'm very impressed with your attention to detail! It sets apart your fishroom, (and man cave) from many others!

Also looking forward to seeing the big fish order!

Eran,
I have been following your build on this site and the other local site. Next time I go to visit my people in the KC area, I will have to stop by and check it out. Glad to see you came back big :) I remember when you were downsizing due to school and such, not all that long ago ;)
