My 28 DeepBlue Build, First LED Experience.

Very well done sir! Love your coral selections and very clean looking tank. I have always debated on getting a Christmas tree rock. Very nice colors.

Thanks! tried to aquire a decent variety. the only thing i dont like about the xmas tree rock is that is like a freakin softball. hard to place!!

Strange, I just saw a few of those Christmas colonies recently at LFS.

I like your aquascape.

Thank you!

Nice looking tank. Agreed, that Xmas tree rock is really sweet.

Not sure what you mean are the pics missing?

So, a little bit of an update. Ive been battling a serious cyano issue for about a month now. after reading all of the horror stories about redslime removers I decided to do it the old fashion way. Now finally its seems to be about beat. I threw my other reactor back on with gfo and added a tunze 6040 (which is freakin awesome btw...) and it seems to be taking care of it! On a good note tho the corals are all doing well, decent growth. Lost some color a bit after adding the gfo reactor but hey, the red slime is pretty much gone so I cant complain. On top of all that I finally threw a screen on top so I could add some fish with out them jumping out the next day. I thought it would really ugly the clean look up but I don't even notice it.. Anyways , Here are some pictures. Thanks!!
Please, excuse my camera phone

I've been debating for a while now weather or not to switch to halides. I miss the fullness of light that halides supply. In particular I've been eyeing the reefbrite pendant. Any one have experience with these? My tank is 16" tall, torn between the 175 or 250, or even switching them at all for that matter... Thoughts?

So, a little bit of an update. things seem to be finally settling in. I've taken a few things off the system to include my gfo reactor and i stopped dosing two part for now. Currently just dosing kalk and tank is going strong. It seems like the growth has really started to explode in the past 2 months. I moved and lost a few sticks in the process but everything has recovered well.

I am suffering from a bit of a cyano issue but it seems to be taking care of itself. Just scored a controller over black friday and a sweet frag pack from battlecorals that should be here next week too. Any ways, here are a few recent cell phone pics and one older one for reference. The colors look a little washed out in the cell pics but I'm happy with them, they look pretty deec in person. I'm now a believer that LED's can work. LMK what ya think!
