My 280g Custom upgrade.....

Super nice build you have going! Looking forward to following your progress. Best wishes!!!

It did not. The price was comparable to other well known tank builders. I love the look of it and the add structural support to the big tank.

Well it looks awesome, and once i am finally able to get my system up and running and then when it's time for the inevitable upgrade I'm definitely going with the single euro-brace. Thanks for the idea!

Water Test Update

Water Test Update

So here are the latest results...

Ammonia 0 ppm down from 3 ppm last night
Nitrites very high...hard to tell the number
Nitrate 10 ppm

added 1/8th of a cup this morning before leaving. Phoshates had topped out around .20 ppm and those are down to .13 ppm as of last night.

@nightowl....thanks Henry! Its been a long road.

I added 1/8th cup of ammonia last night and another 1/8th this morning before work. When I tested tonight my ammonia was at zero. Nitrites and Nitrates are holding where they were so I added another dose this time 1/4 cup.

Steve,
How much longer do you think it will take using this method?

Not really sure....from what I've read it should take a total of two weeks but I would hope it would take a little less since I had been curing the rocks for a while.

Lets change it up a little....

Lets change it up a little....

So a local guy is breaking down his system after 7 yrs and was practically giving corals away so I picked up a lot of what he had the other day. Here are just a few pictures and I will try to get more later on over the weekend. Its safe to say that my frag tank is packed now!!!!

So Im noticing that my ph spikes when I add ammonia and at first it would slowly drop just as slow as my ammonia level. now the ph spikes but returns to its normal level just as the ammonia seems to dissapate quite quickly now. so my question is this....is there a correlation between the two or am I just board and looking for things to think about???
