That's quite an accomplishment for a 14 yrs old. I was keping betta in a small fish bowl when I was 14. keep up the good work.

Cool tank- thanks for keeping up with the photo updates. Props for getting started young and sticking with it. And good call on getting a job at a good LFS- im sure you will only continue to excel and your reef will only benefit.

I have been battling some algae issues- for me I found that using a supplement made by a french company called Prodibio works great at keeping algae from blooming and at lowering your nitrates/phosphates etc. - Im using the whole Bio Kit- but the bacteria in the Bio Digest are what initially work to establish a solid biological base.

The other thing that i feel really has helped me is to lower the quantity of food that i feed my clowns-

perhaps more importantly I find straining frozen foods with r/o or tank water before feeding will help reduce the amount of phosphates going into the tank in the first place (with gel bound foods like formula 1and2 this isnt as big of an issue- but with oily foods like Piscine's Mysis or some silversides, it makes a big difference.)

hope this makes some sense

and your LFS looks pretty kickass!
