Hi, I'm Sieraaj from cape town ,South Africa.... My 2m dream is about my recently setup sytem holding 1200litres of water,I started off with a 4 foot tank to gain a bit of experience.My current tank is 2mx600x700 an sump is 1.5x500x450.... I purchased the complete setup secondhand

It took allot of man power to move an transport the tank, but it went rather quick, so as soon as it arrived at my home, a friend hopped into the tank an began cleaning her out, couldn't stand the foul smell it was giving off

6 hours later and VOILA!!! All clean

So the next few days, I filled her up, added aragonite an also my liverock from my previous systems, to kickstart I also started a steady dosing of seachem stability an prime, an the next day added my fish an corals.... Didn get any spikes cause my liverock is fully cured an used natural salt water....

Ok, so I started the 2m up with my equipment from my previous setup aswell, all is good excepting for my skimmer, its a Ts2 reeftek..... So had to upgrade to the ultimate SUPER REEFOCTOPUS xp5000int cone, skimmin 2400l/h, more than twice my system volume... What a beast, also added some macro algae to my refugium/DSB......

2months running,this is the most recent up2date picture of the tank as she is standing.... Added light holding canopy with 3 metal halides in, changed scaping to 3 individual islands and added more fish an corals...

If I look at the systems on this forum, I'm wasting my time lol, my is soooooo amature compared

Thanks guys, yeah the floating canopy has always been somethin I admired now I have my own,an yes, the cabinet will be done soon,matching the floating canopy,as for stocking, I wana stock heavy, and lotsa corals,mmmmmm full on reef,scared of sps so might stick to softies an maybe some lps inbetween

I wana double wat I have, in fish corals an inverts, I want a fullhouse tank, that's why I purchased a skimmer more than double my system volume

Well so I added a diamond back goby, they said to not be true sand sifters but they do sift and do so nicely an neatly lol, any1 have any bad experiences with them?
