Keeping it Simple
Here's my skimmerless, shallow sand bed, 30 gal. nano setup:

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the equip/maintenance. Let's see:

Equipment:
1. Light: 96w actinic and 65w pc lighting
2. Filter: Aquaclear 50 I think
3. Current Control: I guide the return from the pump through the pvc in conjunction with ball valves to control output.
4. Heater: Won Bros. 150w

Maintenance:
1. Top off everyday (add Reef Builder and Buffer as needed)
2. Just do around 20-30% water change twice a month.

Fish: Only a Six-line Wrasse (I wanted to keep the bioload super light initially)

Inverts: 2 Cleaner shrimp
Flame Scallop
Porce. Crab
About 50-60 of assorted hermits and nass. snails

It's an easy tank with pretty easy corals, but I love it. :)

Oh wow, haha, no I didn't know they would do that! That's funny...they seem to do ok with each other....let's hope! Thanks for the replies guys!
