My 30G Nano Reef Tank (Lots pics)

These are all ricordias, right?
Does anyone know of good sources for such in the Midwest USA, more specifically, Milwaukee, WI area?
Hardly see items like this at the LFS's in my area.
Thanks, Matt

Looks like your clowns are loving the torch! Still as beautiful as ever. I have loved following this thread.

What made you decide to put a torch in a mushroom, flat LPS tank. I love the flowing tentacles, but it is one of a kind. Have you had problems with it stinging your mushrooms? Its sweeper tentacles have such a long reach.

Thanks again for all of your beautiful pictures. I have enjoyed every one!

Thanks all for the compliments.

Jeri,
Yup, the clowns like the torch a lot. They stay there all day. The reason why I put the torch in the tank is making the aquascaping balanced. If I take the torch away, you will find a hallow for the aquascaping.

The tentacles are way higher than other corals. It's fine and safe, and give a clear view for the clowns.

Edwings206,
The yumas are getting huge. One of it is staying 20 months in my tank, growing from a quarter to 3.5 inch diameter.

Recently, I added a Viaaqua poly reactor and putting the rowaphos and rowacarbon. They seem like it.

Oh...my...GOD! im seriously JEALOUS of your tank!!!!!! never before have I been so inspired!! VERY VERY nice tank man! I'm using your FTS as my desktop background!

Great thread Angus. Thanks for sharing your valuable experiences, and your GREAT pics!!! Like so many have said already... BEAUTIFUL tank! I just wanted to ask why you got ride of the sand and went with a bare bottom... easier maintenance? any other reasons?? thanks.

also... has it been easier to maintain optimal water condition with the bare bottom... and how do you keep your CA above 400 with just water changes? thanks again.

SactoJoe,

This tank is mushrooms with few LPS. The Ca is not so serious problem for this tank.

The bare bottom is easier for me to maintain the tank. And the water flow get the waste to the front of the bottom. I can suck them out easily.
