Lookin good i am going to have to follow the main thread. Glad to see you got the pics posted ok.

TTRex94...Thanks for the help with the pics. It will be a very slow build. I can only put about 5-6 hours a week into it right now.
Mike

I wish i could say i could come help. But it sounds like we both have busy schedules. I would love to see that monster in person and maybe i can work out some time to give you hand in the near future if you would like. I greatly enjoyed the setup of mine. Now i make up reasons to mess with it.

Now thats nice, definately keep those pictures comin...LMK, If I can help in anyway, being that your not that far.

If I were you, I would move the pool table... all it takes is one bounced ball to shatter the front of the tank..... That is going to be a sweet looking tank though... what type of lights are you going to be using?

Mike,

Yikes!!! That is one large tank. I need to plan a trip to Seffner and check it out when you are done. Keep up the good work.

Chris

I was gonna say the SAME thing about that pool table. I've seen many a white ball go flying after the break.

Sweet tank though!

It will never be done!!! That would take all the fun out of it. When it's up and running and a few things, I'll grill some burgers and cool some beer, and everyone can stop by. I would like to meet everyone.

I'm already subscribed to your main thread! AWESOME! Some of you guys amaze me, the work I put into my 37 gallon. I can't imagine the time and effort that goes into caring for something that large.

Keep the pics coming in the thread!

mflamb, Automation is one of the many aspects whereas I am a total newb. I manually top off every day due to evaporation. I can remember reading posts and thinking to myself I will never purchase livestock that has me caught up in a crazy feeding schedule... :o

.. now, day 1 (brine + spot feed cup), day2 (flake+zooplank spot feed), day3 (brine+spot feed cup+hand feed the starfish, the shrimp I hand prepare).. rinse + repeat.. day 7 (test levels, to make sure nitrates etc. are ok, because I'm soon removing UGF)..

When I see the project your undertaking it just amazes me.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing your tanks, I have to admit the only other reef tank I've seen in person is at the LFS. I've never seen another hobbyist's tank cept' for pictures here :D

doomicon...I moved here several years ago after several years in Alabama and Louisiana, during which times I had a reef tank. In both places, everyone I met would show me their reef if I asked. Since moving here, I've met 6 RC posters, and have seen 2 of their tanks and recieved offers to see the other 4. I learned early on that "The wheel is already invented, so copy it and improve on it!" So I look at lots of systems in person and online. My topoff, water change, testing, RO/DI prep, salt water prep, lighting, temp control will all be as automated as possible with technology that is available, affordable and useable. I will "hand" feed.
Mike

:eek2: :eek2: Hand feed?? OMG!! Well, let me know when I can see your progress, I need something to copy (probably wont be able to improve) when I start my 210 in wall. Thanks

Coming out beautuifully...

Joey
