My 3g Picotope

Camera is a Minolta Dimage Z2

Thanks mandrin13, I'm always looking for more zoas. I'm also looking for the perfect coral to sit down in the center. You cant tell in the picture but the center has a big open space that goes down to the sand.

Sand is Estes Uktra Reef. Its the same sand I have in my cube tank and I LOVE it.

On another note, I just added a Mini jet 404 for a little more flow. I don't really like the looks of it in the tank so I am open for suggestions.

Just thought I would give an updated pic on how the pico is doing.

would you say that the extension on the zoas is due to light starvation? Mine looked like that before I upgraded my lights. Sweet lil tank tho! :D

I would say no considering they have been growing like crazy these last two months. I even had to frag the pink ones already. Anyway, normally they don't look like that but I just got done moving stuff around and had everything pretty ticked off :)

Thanks clown_reefer!!!

what kind of lighting do you have? i have just set up a 3g and was wondering what to do about lighting

Its just the stock lighting that came with the picotope

ahhh well then what watts is it? your corals looks great! right now the lights that came with my lil 3g is just one 6w bulb

kraftyroru look on the first page he says it like 3 times. but he thinks it's a 8 or 9 watt bulb. very nice tank dubbin1.

Umm yeah its like an 8 or 9 watt PC :) I have been thinking about upgrading the light
to one of THESE just to see the difference in the growth.

I just got that light for my son's 5.5g It's OK on the 5.5 but should be good for a smaller tank.

I'm in the process of adding some moon light's for the 5.5g. If I can get them bright enough it may add more actinic to the tank which is what I'm looking for.
